July Referral Contest
You asked, so here we go! TopHits4U’s first official Referral Contest. Contest will start tonight July 1st, at midnight Eastern Time Zone and will run until 11:59 pm on July 15th. Prizes will be as follows…
1st place = $10.00 & 1000 Credits
2nd place =$5.00 & 1000 Credits
3rd place = $2.50 & 500 Credits
4th place = $2.50 & 500 Credits
5th place = $2.00 & 250 Credits
6th place = $1.00 & 250 Credits
7th place = $1.00 & 200 Credits
8th place = $0.75 & 200 Credits
9th place = $0.50 & 100 Credits
10th place = $0.25 & 100 Credits
The Contest Standings will be updated nightly after they are verified to be legitimate referrals. Let’s make that push to 300! Let’s make the first TopHits4U referral contest a good one, as we can only grow from here!

I had a question asked about what if there is a tie at the end of the contest, so this is what I decided to do…
If there is a tie for 1st and 2nd place, I would add the rewards for both 1st and 2nd place and then divide the winnings by two.
$10.00 + $5.00 = $15.00 / 2 = $7.50 each
1000 + 1000 = 2000 / 2 = 1000 each
If there were tied for 1st place it would be…
$10.00 + $5.00 + $2.50 = / 3 = $5.84 each
1000 + 1000 + 500 = 2500 / 3 = 833 each
I think that is the most fair way to do it and that’s how it will be broken down. If the ties go beyond the 10th spot everyone will get the 10 place reward.

It will be added to your TopHits4U Balance. This way, you will also have the opportunity transfer cash as credits, banner credits, text credits or if you choose, and when your balance is $15.00 or grater you can cash out via paypal.
I think that you need to correct first prize to 15$ Cash

Na 10 dollar is fine for 1st- I should be number 1 in of the night. If I win anyways I would use it to extend my pro membership- If people didn’t no If they buy a upgrade you do get random referrals like twice a week, helps you build a downline
I will keep the $15.00 prize in mind for the next contest for sure. Since this is the first contest, I want to make sure there is participation, otherwise I would be just giving away cash to people for nothing. I know Shawn has been extremely persistent with his efforts (as well as a handful of others) and their referral numbers show that for sure… but who else is going to step up?
Shawn makes a very good point with the upgraded account, and those of you that are Gold/Top Members know. I do all my advertisements with no referral id, so every member I refer goes to a Gold or Top Member as a random referral. With the upgraded memberships expiring from early promotions, expect the random referrals to increase as well!

The contest page has been updated! Great job nexon, you are doing great and still managed to stay in the number one position. Don’t let up though, Shawn is right on your tail and if it were not for a couple unverified/non active referrals Shawn would be in the lead.

To be honest I find it quite strange that you put accounts to inactive if you haven’t logged in for a certain amount of time. What’s the sense of refering people to your exchange if you become inactive.
I appreciate you questioning me on this, as that is kind of the whole point to having the Blog in place (Another way to communicate with each other), so thank you for that.
To be perfectly honest with you, this is a default setting with the LJScript and I never really questioned if it should be set or disabled. This is not something I do manually, but is a part of the TE Script. I know in the past I have been mark inactive in many other TEs for not logging in or surfing, and never thought twice about it. If I valued the TE, I reactivated (most likely I would have never gone inactive in the 1st place)… if I didn’t, I never went back to the TE.
My first instinct was, if the TE user is not interested enough to return to my TE in the allotted time, why should they stay active in the exchange. Your comment here has made me think deeply about this and I would like to revisit this topic. For now, I have raised the inactivity threshold from 30 days to 90 days, and I may decide to get rid of it all together. 3 months is a long time to go without logging in.
